"I couldn’t even say my name in public. Today, I coach people on how to speak confidently – even with a stammer."
For years, stammering controlled my life. I avoided phone calls, public speaking, and even simple conversations. Every word felt like a battle. I thought only expensive therapists could help me — but I was wrong.
In this blog, I’ll share the exact steps I used to speak fluently, build my confidence, and even start helping others overcome the same struggle.
The first breakthrough was accepting my stammer instead of fighting it. I realized:
“Fluency is not perfection, it’s expression.”
I stopped avoiding words or situations. I told people I stammer — and the fear started losing power.
I used this routine every day:
Breathing control (5 minutes)
Keyboard + speaking drills (typing while reading aloud)
Mirror practice (recording and watching myself)
This rewired my brain faster than I expected. Even a 1% daily improvement made a huge difference.
I used free tools like:
Google Keyboard’s voice input (to slow down and monitor speech)
Voice memo app (to track progress weekly)
YouTube channels for inspiration and techniques
Accountability changed everything.
I joined a small speaking challenge on WhatsApp — and for the first time, I saw others like me progressing.
We celebrated every “small win” — ordering food fluently, introducing ourselves, or saying “Hello” without fear.
After 60 days, I delivered my first live session to a small group. Today, I run a program to help others find their fluent voice without shame or fear.
